When Don Fleming ran for Sheriff four years ago, he made some very specific promises to the people of Flagler County. Don Fleming pledged to put more deputies on the street, to bring law enforcement services closer to the people we protect, and to be a good steward of tax dollars.

Sheriff Fleming inherited an agency that was severely understaffed, particularly on road patrol. To correct the situation, Sheriff Fleming has hired over 60 Road Deputies to patrol our neighborhoods and strengthen the Agency Operations.

Sheriff Fleming also promised to bring law enforcement services closer to the people. He established a Community Policing Program with a full time coordinator, creating 30 Neighborhood Watch Programs and program (C.A.S.E.) to prevent exploitation of the elderly.

Finally, Sheriff Fleming has cut costs at his agency by contracting inmate food and phone services saving taxpayers over $100,000 a year.
